What You'll Learn
Structure & Proportion
Block in portraits and figures with accuracy, simplify complex forms, and master facial and body landmarks for strong, precise drawings.
Seeing in 3D
Train your eye to think sculpturally using gesture, cross-contours, light, and shadow. Study anatomy and concepts like simultaneous contrast to create depth and vitality.
From Drawing to Painting
Move from pencil to brush with confidence. Learn color theory, mixing, and values; explore alla prima and layered methods; and finish with glazing and varnishing.
Demos & Critiques
There will be frequent demos along with individual critiques. You'll see the process broken down clearly, and receive personal feedback tailored to your progress.

Frequently Asked Questions
What skill level do I need to join the weekly art classes?
You don't need any prior experience. My classes are open to complete beginners as well as advanced students. I adapt lessons to your individual level and goals.
What happens after the free trial class?
If you decide to continue, you'll need to book a minimum of 4 sessions (one month). This commitment is important because it gives me enough time to properly work with you, track your progress, and help you build a strong foundation.
Do I need to bring my own materials?
Basic materials are provided for the first class. After that, I'll guide you on what's best to invest in depending on your interests (drawing, charcoal, oils, etc.). You're also welcome to bring your own supplies if you already have them.
Can I join in the middle of the term?
Yes, students can join anytime. Since classes are personalized, you won't feel left behind. I'll meet you at your level and create a learning path for you.
What if I miss a weekly class?
Weekly classes work on a monthly plan, which secures your spot in the group. We don't offer refunds for missed classes, but:
- • If you let us know at least 24 hours in advance, you can reschedule into another available session within the same month.
- • Missed classes without notice can't be rescheduled.
This helps us keep the groups consistent while still offering flexibility when possible.
What's the difference between a workshop and a weekly class?
Workshops are one-time or short-term events focused on a specific theme - like master copies, art & wine, or beach painting. Weekly classes are ongoing and structured to help you grow long-term.
How long are the workshops?
Most workshops last between 2–3 hours, depending on the type. Some special events, like outdoor painting sessions, may run longer.
Do I need any experience to attend?
Not at all! Workshops are designed to be fun, creative, and beginner-friendly. If you're more experienced, I'll still guide you with advanced tips to challenge your skills.
Are all materials provided?
Yes, everything you need for the workshop is included. You just need to show up and enjoy the process.
Will I get to take something home?
Absolutely! You'll leave each workshop with a finished piece of art you created.
Do I need to sign up in advance?
Yes, spaces are limited, so I recommend booking in advance to secure your spot.
Is there a cancellation policy for workshops?
Yes. Since each workshop involves preparing materials and reserving your spot, we have a simple cancellation policy:
- • 48+ hours before → full refund
- • 24–48 hours before → 50% refund
- • Less than 24 hours before → no refund
This way, we can cover the fixed costs of materials while keeping it fair for everyone.

Contact us on WhatsAppTanveer Oberai - Art Instructor
I'm Tanveer Oberai, an artist trained at the Barcelona Academy of Art with roots in Mumbai. Painting has been part of my life for as long as I can remember and for the past couple of years I've been sharing that passion through workshops here in Barcelona.
My approach is simple: anyone can learn to paint with the right guidance. I keep my groups small so I can give each student personal attention, guiding you step by step until you feel confident. For me, teaching isn't just about technique - it's about helping you slow down, connect with yourself, and enjoy the creative process as you discover the artist within you.
